BIO

Amedeo and Matteo, the duo behind Mathame, are leading the EmoTech charge – connecting global audiences through transportive music that transcends genres, generations, and dimensions. More than just another DJ duo, Mathame are sonic alchemists, crafting productions that unfold as poignant odysseys, blurring the lines between reverie and reality.

Raised in a household shaped by their parents’ pirate radio, they absorbed vinyl and cassette culture early on. Matteo moved from hip-hop DJing into film, sharpening a cinematic sense that would define Mathame’s immersive storytelling. Amedeo’s classical studies on violin and clarinet eventually found new expression in electronic production – completing a creative synergy that underpins their distinctive sound.

Their music bridges cinematic storytelling and melodic techno, forging a deeply emotional and forward-thinking signature that has positioned them at the forefront of a new musical era. From Afterlife staples like Skywalking and Nothing Around Us to global stages like Coachella, Hï Ibiza, and the Sphere in Las Vegas, they’ve built a presence that resonates across continents and cultures.

Mathame pushes boundaries at the crossroads of music, technology, and immersive art, offering brands a distinctive creative vision. Their Old Neural Mixtape Vol.1, powered by a custom AI engine for Apple’s M1 chip, redefined DJ mixing by recomposing harmonics, vocals, and beats in real time. This innovation extended into performance art with a virtual 3D show premiered on YouTube and debuted live at Zamna Tulum, creating an unforgettable experience. Their BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix of the Year, FAR, NEAR, NOWHERE, further cemented their reputation as conceptual artists and visionary collaborators for future-facing brands.

With their debut album MEMO (Forbes Top 15 Albums of 2023), Mathame introduced NEO – a narrative world that became the foundation of their self-defined movement, EmoTech, where emotional storytelling meets futuristic electronic sound. Conceived in Japan, NEO takes form through a monumental eight-meter statue, installed in selected locations and surrounded by a lineup of artists that Mathame admire and curate. It represents a new ritual of sound and light, pushing the boundaries of electronic music into a deeper, cinematic dimension.

The story of NEO unfolds through NEOLOGY, a parallel show that acts as its narrative revelation – a non-linear, anime-style film projected during selected festival and headline performances, telling the myth behind the statue.

If NEO is the experience, NEOLOGY is the explication – two different shows that belong to one unified narrative universe, expressing Mathame’s ongoing exploration of the sacred, the futuristic, and the emotional.

Their audiovisual live concept, NEOLOGY, premiered at Tomorrowland’s Freedom Stage and will continue to appear at major festivals worldwide. At the same time, they’re expanding their vision into narrative media, with a screenplay in development to bring the NEOLOGY universe to life in film or TV.

Their 2025 releases, including the high-voltage club track KOKO, the emotionally charged single Love Somebody, and a major collaboration with Tiësto (Everlight), highlight Mathame’s ongoing evolution and mastery of emotive, narrative-driven electronic music. Across sold-out shows in Buenos Aires, Dubai, New York, and Ibiza, they continue to captivate audiences worldwide. Whether in the studio, on stage, or behind the scenes, Mathame continues to build worlds. With EmoTech as their blueprint, they’re shaping not only the sound, but the soul of the future.
